About Digital Doctor

Digital Doctor is an independent long-form journal about the screens, records and rules that now sit between Australians and their clinicians. The name is older than this rebuild. The beat is the same: digital health as it is actually practised, not as a vendor slide deck.

The original digitaldoctor.com.au sat in a crowded field of health sites. Wayback snapshots were not usable when we reconstructed the title, so we inferred the niche from the name and from the Australian system it obviously belongs to: Medicare telehealth, My Health Record, electronic prescribing, community pharmacy and the hard yards of rural access.

We are not a clinic, a telehealth marketplace or a device company. We do not take appointments. Nothing here is personal medical advice. When a piece names a government program or a professional rule, it is journalism about that program, not an official handbook.
